| Descripción:/ Description | DEMA from FAIF, Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile is seeking applications for a full-time, tenure-track position for an assistant/associate professor in Forest Hydrology/Ecology, Watershed Management.Teaching responsibilities include courses at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels in areas of forest Hydrology/Ecology, Watershed Management. New postgraduate courses in Forest Water Resources / Hydrology /Ecology, Watershed Management areas will be welcomed. Teaching in Spanish is mandatory. |

| Requisito Título Profesional:/ Professional title | A certified professional degree corresponding to a 5-year length university program in either Forestry, Engineering in Natural Resources, Geography or other areas related to the position is mandatory. |
| Requisito Grado Académico:/ Degree requirements | Ph.D. degree at the moment of application in any relevant area related to this call, Forest Hydrology/Ecology, Watershed Management. Postdoctoral experience is desirable. |
| Experiencia:/ Background | Demonstrable research experience with successful grant application and publications on peer-reviewed journals of the field. Teaching experience is highly desirable. |

| Área de Especialización:/ Area of specialization | Required: Forest Hydrology / Ecology and/or Watershed Management.Desirable: Remote Sensing, Climatology, Soil Science, Forest Ecology, River Ecology. |

| Observaciones:/ Remarks | Indefinite contract (subject to periodic assessments). The selected candidate will have a $8.000.000 (Chilean pesos) as a starting research fund, while developing national/international applications (i.e. FONDECYT, FONDEF, CORFO grants). |
