Academic – Department of Botany – Faculty of Natural and Oceanographic Sciences (44 hours)

Full-time academic position is required to perform functions within the Department of Botany, under the Faculty of Natural and Oceanographic Sciences, of the University of Concepción.

Requirements:

Professional title: Biologist, Marine Biologist, Biochemist, Agricultural Engineer, or equivalent education.

Education: Possess the degree of Doctor with a specialty in Plant Physiology.

Experience:

We are looking for a plant physiologist, with postdoctoral experience in Plant Physiology and in stress physiology and/or Photosynthesis, desirable.

With provision for:

• Carry out undergraduate and postgraduate teaching (in the field of plant physiology): teach courses, direct theses, degree seminars and research units.
• Interact with multidisciplinary work teams to address studies in plant physiology and plant ecophysiology.
• Lead research projects.

With demonstrable experience in:

• Scientific research, through publications in mainstream journals in the area of plant physiology.

Experience is required in:

• Postdoctoral research and research project management (ANID or equivalent in the last five years).
• Teaching of pre and / or postgraduate within the field of plant physiology.

Required productivity:

• Minimum 8 WOS publications in the last five years, of which at least 60% must be in the Q1-Q2 quartile.
