Approve in general creating new Ministry of science and technology

After holding a wide round of hearings, the Future Challenges Commission gave the green light to the idea of legislating the initiative

TheCommission on Challenges of the Future, Science, Technology and Innovation unanimously approved, with the votes of Senators Guido Girardi, Juan Antonio Coloma and Alfonso de Urresti, the idea of legislating the project that creates the Ministry of Science and Technology (Bulletin No. 11.101-19).

In this way, the initiative takes a significant step after an extensive period of public hearings, where various aspects of the new institutionality dedicated to science and technology were addressed. It should be recalled that by agreement of the Chamber, the Commission will also analyze the initiative in particular so that the respective indications will be presented in the coming days.

He also made present the need for the Executive to adopt a firm commitment "to unite the greatest wills so that this institutionality has sufficient strength, energy and resources."
