SELECTION PROCESS TO MAKE PROVISION FOR AN ACADEMIC POSITIONORDINARY CATEGORY IN THE DEPARTMENT OFORGANIC CHEMISTRY AND PHYSICAL CHEMISTRY
The Faculty of chemical sciences and pharmaceutical of the University of Chile, invites a selection process to provide a charge of full time professor in the Department of physical chemistry and organic chemistry.
Requirements to apply:
-Grade Doctor in chemistry
-Experience in research in the area of theoretical chemistry or computational chemistry, provable through national or international projects as Principal investigator.
-Provable scientific productivity through publications in mainstream journals.
-Experience in teaching of undergraduate in physical chemistry or quantum mechanical in Spanish language.
Desirable requirements:
-Experience in teaching of postgraduate in the area of physical chemistry or quantum mechanics.
-Current funded projects.
-Postdoctoral stay.
Availability of office: March 1, 2018
Nominations: Interested parties must reach their backgrounds 17 hours of October 31, 2017. These must include: Curriculum vitae including publications sections, letter of intent expressing their interest in the position, three confidential letters of reference.

Selection Committee. The Faculty Committee that reviews and selects the nominations to the office is formed by:
Dean, Vice-Dean, academic Director, Director of undergraduate school and Director of the Department of organic chemistry and physical chemistry.
Shortlisted applicants are informed of the outcome and perform a kind of Bachelor's degree in a specific subject of discipline, according to the requirements to apply, and a proposal for research in the area of discipline, according to the requirements to apply, in meetings public in which also there is time for questions from the audience. Both activities are informed promptly and have a fixed term.
Once this stage is complete, the selection Committee advises the final resolution.
