Position: Academic faculty of Sciences
The Faculty of science of the University Católica de la Santísima Concepción is calling contest to provide six academic posts for day 44 hours with minimum rank of Assistant Professor, corresponding to the following profiles:
CIE-01 (ATTACHED TO THE DEPARTMENT OF ECOLOGY)
Researcher (a) with experience in the management and/or conservation of biodiversity in coastal marine systems, either in the intertidal, subtidal habitats, terrestrecosteros or its interfaces.
CIE-02 (ATTACHED TO THE DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL CHEMISTRY)
Researcher (a) with training of undergraduate in geology, chemistry, or engineering in related areas, with experience in soil chemistry (organic or inorganic), particularly its applications in urban, agricultural or industrial areas. Your research should be focused on one or more of the following areas:
- Study of the origin and composition of the soil, as well as behaviour, bioavailability and transport of inorganic and organic chemical substances (metals, nutrients, pollutants, stable isotopes, etc.) from the ground to the atmosphere and to the systems aquatic.
- Remediation and restoration of soils degraded in polluted areas.
- Regional/national programs of monitoring of contamination in soils and natural resource management.
CIE-03 (ATTACHED TO THE DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL CHEMISTRY)
Researcher (a) training of undergraduate in chemistry or engineering in related areas, with experience in atmospheric chemistry (organic or inorganic). Your research should be focused on one or more of the following areas:
- Implementation of analytical techniques for the separation, detection and quantification of organic and inorganic chemical substances in air.
- Study of the spatio-temporal dynamics of organic and inorganic contaminants that exist in the atmosphere.
- Regional/national air quality and air pollution surveillance programs.
CIE-04 (AFFILIATED TO THE DEPARTMENT OF ECOLOGY OR ENVIRONMENTAL CHEMISTRY)
Researcher (a) training of undergraduate or postgraduate degree in area of biology, chemistry or biochemistry or related engineering specialties to these areas.
- Experience in scientific research or technology in the field of biodiversity (defined according to the Convention on biological diversity), aimed at the analysis and use of bio-resources in coastal environments (either in marine, terrestrial habitats freshwater or its interfaces).
