The name of the winner will be known on May 22, 2018.La Technology Academy Finland (TAF) Invites the international scientific and technological community to nominate candidates to the Technology of 2018 Millennium Award. The period for doing so starts today same and all nominations that were submitted before 31 July of this year will be accepted.

Organisms that can submit nominations for this award include universities, research institutes, academies and companies around the world. Available to the citizens of all nationalities and belonging to all technological fields, with the exception of the areas related to military technology.

The nominee can be a person or a group of research. Winning innovation must be accompanied by a reliable record of practical applications and a clear potential for development in its investigation.

The winners of the past editions of the The Millennium technology prize they represent a broad range of innovations, with advances ranging from revolutionary techniques in the field of medical and biotechnological innovations in the field of renewable energy and information technologies. It's scientists first order and personalities pioneers in their fields, and which are currently at the top of his career.

After a thorough evaluation process, the Committee submits its recommendation on the winner to the Board of the Technology Academy Finland, whose members are finally responsible for selecting it.
