Description of Diploma:
Molecular Biology is the scientific discipline that seeks to understand the molecular basis of heredity, genetic variation and gene expression patterns. It is a multidisciplinary field, including in diverse areas such as genetics and biochemistry, contributing to the development of genetic engineering and biotechnology, which uses living beings or its derivatives for the production of goods and services.
Objectives
- Provide advanced training in Molecular Biology, DNA techniques recombinant and concepts of biotechnology, through lectures, workshops and hands-on activities.
- Delve into the classic genetic concepts, flow and regulation of genetic information.
- Integrating theoretical knowledge with conducting workshops and hands-on activities including genetic engineering tools.
- Acquire notions of the different fields of biotechnology.

To pass the Diploma, the mark is 4.0. In addition to minimum: 80% attendance, being mandatory the evaluated activities.

- Quotas — As a way to do more custom work, this diploma provides maximum 20 members. The minimum number of registered so that the diploma is 16 participants.

Molecular tools for genetic manipulation.
Sequencing of DNA and bioinformatic analysis.
