The society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology of Chile promotes research, both theoretical and experimental, which lead to the progress and dissemination of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. In 1974, Dr. Hernann Niemeyer, Dr. Marco Perreta, Dr. Lylian Clark, Dr. Enrique Beytía, Dr. Arnaldo Foradori and Dr. Arturo Yudelevich signed the document that it gave legal status to the society of Biochemistry and biology MOLECULAR DE CHILE. Later, in 1977, the first annual meeting was held.
Today, the society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology of Chile has more than 150 members; researchers from different Chilean and foreign universities. Members of the society, with his enthusiasm and dedication to scientific activity constitute the body and soul of this society.
