The American Agency FDA approves clinical trial with Bacteriophage

FDA approval was granted to a research group of the School of Medicine of the University of California (UC), who collaborate with biotech company and AmpliPhi Biosciences Corporation (CA, USA). The clinical trial will evaluate a treatment with Bacteriophage AB-SA01, to treat about 10 patients who have a resistant infection of Staphylococcus aureus. Existing cases of the use of phallic therapy have already been reported, which promoted the creation of the Center for Innovative Phage Applications and Terapeutics (IPATH) at UC, which will lead the clinical trial.
