New Astronomy workshop "X-ray range" - University of Chile (January 10, 2018)

Hello, we are pleased to inform you that from Wednesday 10 of January 2018, we dictaremos the latest astronomy workshop for the general public of the season: "Radio Astronomy". This new workshop - four classes - will be held at the National Astronomical Observatory, (Cerro Calán).

"The invention of the radio not only revolutionized the way we communicate, but it also expanded the way we investigate the Cosmos. We will use a nearby language suitable for public not related to astronomy", explains Walter Max-Moerbeck, academic Department of astronomy FCFM U. de Chile and one of the speakers of the course.

"In this course we will give a look to the basics of radio astronomy, history, techniques and features that make it unique", says Nicolás Reyes, charlista workshop and e engineer of the laboratory of millimeter waves from the same academic unit.
