Bioinformatics has become a very important part of many areas, especially in the field of biology and medicine. As precision medicine is an emerging approach for human disease treatment and prevention that takes into account individual variability in genes, environment, and lifestyle for each person, training students in the analysis of genomic data and approaches to understanding and advancing precision medicine is more important now than ever. This survey course introduces students to computational tools for the analysis of genomic data and approaches to understanding and advancing precision medicine. The course is divided into three two-week modules and offers a hands-on and unique interdisciplinary experience, bringing together instructors from many related areas to provide a comprehensive view of this emerging field.
