I am writing to encourage you to submit nominations for the Elise and Walter A. Haas International Award. The deadline for nominations is May 4.
The Haas International Award honors a UC Berkeley alumnus or alumna (having attended the campus for a minimum of two semesters or three quarters) who is a native, citizen, and resident of a nation other than the United States and has a distinguished record of service to his or her country. The award includes a cash prize of US $20,000, an engraved medallion, and travel expenses for the recipient to attend the award presentation.
If you know of one or more alumni who you feel deserve this prestigious honor, I urge you to complete a nomination. Your effort will not only help to ensure that Berkeley acknowledges the most deserving individual — it will also affirm our commitment to fostering extraordinary contributions on the world stage.
