Doctorate in Sciences mention in BIOPHYSICS and computational biology

The program of doctorate in Sciences with a major in Biophysics and computational biology aims to train scientists who are able to understand biological processes through its physical-mathematical formalisation, from the molecular level to the modeling. Biophysics tries to explain biological phenomena from the laws of physics, focusing mainly on what occurs at the level of proteins involved in the transport of substances across cell membranes. Furthermore, computational biology can be defined as the development and application of computational models and methods to facilitate the study of biological problems, from the quantitative study of macromolecules, as well as the behavior of the neurons and networks that form in all its complexity.
