FEBS and EMBO have created a joint award to highlight exceptional contributions of female scientists. The award is given annually and comprises a bursary of Euro 10,000, a commemorative statue and a plenary lecture at the annual FEBS Congress.
Previous winners include Caroline Dean, Pascale Cossart, Susan Gasser and Geneviève Almouzni.
