Competition for heads of laboratory at the Instituto Leloir

CALLED TO CONTEST FOR HEADS OF LABORATORY OF THE FOUNDATION INSTITUTE LELOIR

The Foundation Institute Leloir (FIL), dedicated to research in BioScience, offers positions of head of laboratory researchers whose research projects within the thematic areas that occur in FIL (see:)http://www.leloir.org.ar/research/laboratories /). We encourage especially the presentation of experts on approaches that reinforce or are complementary to those who perform in FIL. Be taken into account the potential collaboration with other research groups of FIL.

Profile of applicants:

Researchers who initiate or want to consolidate an independent scientific career. Be considered exceptionally outstanding candidates in other stages of his career. Present an excellent scientific production, according to the stage of his career demonstrate ability or potential to lead a research group with an innovative and independent project and background that support it

Offered:

Laboratory space access to extensive infrastructure of the Institute, including different areas of cultivation, and support services for research institutional support so that the group can develop fully

Documentation (in English):

Letter of motivation to lead a group in FIL (maximum: 2 pages).
Describe how the proposed research is integrated or complement the current theme of FIL.
CV completely (including the 5 most relevant publications and the complete list of publications)
Research project (maximum: 3 pages)
Names and email addresses of three researchers who can provide references

The elected candidates shall be members or run the race
of the researcher of the National Council of research in science and
Technology (CONICET)

Submissions will be evaluated by an external evaluation Committee. Pre-selected candidates will be invited to present their projects at seminars in FIL. Results will be available in early June of 2018 and positions will be available immediately.
