The promotion of research applied in the academic world is key to the promotion of the transfer between the society and the University. One of the routes of the same building is the creation of the"Award to applied research and the Doctoral thesis",especially that valuingthe investigations have led to the creation of assets of Industrial and intellectual property, the creation of a spin-off or a transfer of their results to the market has been achieved.This call is open to any read and defended a doctoral thesisHispanic and Portuguese-speaking University,valuing especially its adequate protection, exploitation and transfer successful market strategy.

Description purpose of the award:III. call for the "award Doctoral thesis" of Chair UPM-Clarke, Modet & Cº. The aim is to reward research that has been reflected in a Doctoral thesis but who, beyond their technical nature or not, demonstrate proper management in:
-Your protection strategy through the different figures of existing patents, designs, copyright, industrial secrets, etc.
– Su explotación y transferencia exitosa al mercado a través de creación de spin- offs, licencias, etc.
Requirements:Las tesis doctorales que concurran al premio deben haber sidoleídas y defendidas, durante el periodo 1 enero de 2016 al 31 de diciembre de 2017, en cualquier universidad de cualquier país de habla hispana o portuguesa, tanto públicas como privadas.
Fecha para presentar propuestas:Since the23 de octubre de 2018 hasta el 23 de noviembre de 2018.
Plazo resolución:3 meses siguientes al cierre de presentación de los trabajos.
Forma de Presentación:A través delsiguiente impreso, remitido por email apremiotesis@
Documentación necesaria:Once closed the submission deadline, will be selected titles finalists that additional information such as the copy of the Doctoral thesis or copy of the certificate showing the date of the reading of the thesis and obtained qualification may be required. All documents should be requested in digital format.
Selection procedure:Once closed. deadline for submissiontitle finalists, will be selected before 23 December 2018,reporting the result by email to all participants are selected or not. Theses finalists will be presented to aa jury that will select the winning thesis before February 28, 2019.
Award:The award will consist in€ 3,000.
