Overview: Organic cavities are nanostructures where the electromagnetic vacuum is confined enough to interact strongly with vibrational, and electronic molecular transitions by changing the internal dynamics of molecules in a collective manner. In this talk I will discuss the basic elements that describe the physics of organic cavities and will discuss qualitatively a quantum model developed at USACH, which for the first time allows us to consistently explain the properties of photoluminescence of these nanostructures.
