Seminar science, knowledge and innovation: how to understand and assess their impact?

Why the seminar?

A seminar is the platform to add to various actors who can connect in the discussion on how to understand, make visibility and evaluate the contribution of science, knowledge and innovation to society. This seminar also seeks to install the assessment as a key element in the configuration of the CTI ecosystem and as a learning mechanism to improve practices. Both those involved in the formulation and implementation of science and technology policies will participate, as well as those who have concerns about the evaluation of scientific work and the promotion of a scientific culture.

The seminar will present national actors who have reflected on the relationship of science, knowledge and society from various positions and also actors that will refer to how knowledge is evaluated and new proposals for this. It also opens a space to highlight the relevance of the evaluation of the dissemination of science and knowledge as a possibility to improve its practices and make visibility into the transformations that produce in society.

International exhibitors will participate to connect national reflection regarding the linkage of science, knowledge and society with experiences and visions of Latin America and Europe, provoking a conversation that enriches the frameworks used to analyze the national context.
