The Institute for Biological and Medical Engineering (IIBM) of the Schools of Engineering, Medicine and Biological Sciences and the Department of Chemical and Bioprocess Engineering (DIQB) of the School of Engineering of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile invite applications for a tenure-track full-time faculty position in synthetic and systems biology. The objective of this call is to enhance the area of synthetic and systems biology in both units and the university. The position will have primary affiliation at IIBM and secondary affiliation at DIQB. The position requires a Ph.D. in bioengineering, biotechnology, systems biology, synthetic biology, or similar areas. Postdoctoral experience is highly desirable.
Requirements: The applicant should have an outstanding publication track record in the area, with the potential to obtain external research funds and develop high-quality teaching. Applicants should be proactive in pursuing independent research lines, able to work collaboratively and show evidence of interdisciplinary collaboration.
