Dear ICGEB Liaison Officer,

We are pleased to inform you that the Call for the CRP – ICGEB Research Grants 2018 is now open.

The new updated form and related guidelines can be downloaded from our website at the following link: http://www.icgeb.org/research-grants.html

Applications must be submitted by Principal Investigators by email as a single pdf file both to the ICGEB Liaison Officer for endorsement and at the same time to ICGEB (crp@icgeb.org) as a carbon copy (cc:).

As Liaison Officer, you will be able to endorse 3 standard research grants as well as 2 additional Early Career Return Grants as a maximum. The Early Career Return Grants are intended to fund young researchers with an outstanding track record, who have spent a minimum of 2 years abroad and have recently returned to an ICGEB Member State to establish their own independent laboratories.

The deadlines for submission of the applications are as follows:
30 April 2018:                        Deadline for submission by e-mail of the completed application forms (as a pdf file) to the ICGEB Liaison Officers for endorsement and with a copy sent to ICGEB.
31 May 2018:             Liaison Officers will communicate his/her endorsements to ICGEB and to the applicant.

We would recommend that any national internal deadlines do not contrast with the ICGEB ones indicated above.

We also wish to remind you that on the dedicated web page “how to write an ICGEB grant” (available at: http://www.icgeb.org/writing-an-icgeb-grant-proposal.html) prospective applicants will find some tips and suggestions on how to prepare their proposal for submission to ICGEB. This office will anyway be very pleased to reply to any queries.

We wish to thank you again for your continued work and support of ICGEB’s initiatives. We very much look forward to receiving your endorsed applications and for any queries please do not hesitate to contact this office.

Best regards,

Barbara Argenti
