Transcription of the Genome: From Molecules to Systems
February 8, 2018 | 10AM – 11AM

QBI presents a seminar featuring Patrick Cramer of The Max Planck Institute for Biophysical Chemistry.
WHEN: Thursday, February 8, 2018
WHERE: Gladstone Institutes, Mahley Auditorium, 1650 Owens Street San Francisco, CA 94158
Talk Title: “Transcriptions of the Genome: From Molecules to Systems”
Host: Nevan Krogan
About Patrick Cramer:

The Cramer Lab studies the molecular mechanisms of eukaryotic gene transcription by integrated structural biology and the systemic principles of genome regulation with the use of functional genomics and computational biology.

Patrick Cramer has been awarded several prizes, such as the Feldberg Foundation Prize (2011), the Ernst-Jung Award for Medicine (2009) and the Gottfried-Wilhelm-Leibniz Award (2006) by the German Research Foundation (DFG). In 2012, he received the Federal Cross of Merit from the Federal Republic of Germany. Patrick Cramer is an elected member of the European Molecular Biology Organization (EMBO) and the German Academy of Sciences (Leopoldina).
